2013-04-29 Training

Knees are screaming today even though I have been foam rolling in the evenings. Felt decent in the technique department but legs were zapped from Saturday still.

2013-04-27 Training

I am glad today was not a total atrocity like earlier this week. I felt pretty good and made a 170kg clean from the blocks today. I almost got 175kg but needed to be a bit sharper mentally to get the bar in the perfect spot. I think the bar drifted a bit forward and I caught it out front so I could not rack it properly.

Not to bad today. I didn't have the greatest sleep last night so thankfully this was not a max out day. Low back, Glutes and Hams feel like they are getting stronger.

2013-04-24 training

Today the weights felt stinking heavy. During snatches the weights felt like there was another 20 kg's on the bar. I felt rested and I'm not sore. Maybe some CNS fatigue? Legs felt slow and like they were filled with lead. I battled it out though. I dropped weight and worked back up but only hit about 90% of my PR in the snatch.

Positions felt solid today. Had Chiro day before.

Good warmup. Good snatches. And good work all around. Looking forward to a couple days of rest and then hit it hard next week. Been doing foam rolling to appease my knee pain.

Felt pretty good today with a day off. But needed a good warmup to knock the rust out of the joints. Did some high hang cleans up to 150kg.

Felt pretty good today. Got some solid work in with some solid weights. I got to train with my coach Christine Girard today which is always good. Got some pointers on what to sharpen up.

2013-04-16 Training

Took yesterday off and had Chiro. I feel a bit rusty and run down, squats took there toll from Sunday. I mowed the lawn for my warmup. Doing snatch pulls with hips a bit lower today. I find that I am using my glutes more in the extension from that position. Maybe before I was in too much of a stiff leg deadlift position. Thank goodness it was a light session today. I will be ready for a tough day tomorrow.

Good training today. Technique and mobility felt good. Strength on front squats was good. Managed to front squat 180kg for a triple and then 190kg for a double.

I kept C&J light but manageable. Felt decent. Strength and power felt good. Surprising how good I felt after my heavy squats yesterday.

Still in my beaten down state. Kept snatches moderately heavy and my technique felt good. Even though I have not felt at top strength lately I was able to squat 224kg for a triple ATG.

Had some Chiro yesterday and SI joint feels a bit better. Strength and speed hampered a bit though.

2013-04-08 training

Mediocre day in training, power C&J up to 150kg. No new PR's. squats were ok though. I worked up to some grinders and did some back off work. SI joint was a bit sore and i was missing some power. Weight was at 101kg

2013-04-05 training

Felt a bit better today. I power snatched up to 125kg without straps. I did not want to push it and try for more today. My assistance work went well, I felt stronger than I have all week. I did not have any aches or pains today so that was very nice. I also did a bit of preventative band work on my hip.

Still missing a that pop and a bit of strength. Reps went ok but nothing spectacular. Knees, wrists, and hip all a bit achey.

2013-04-03 Training

Strength and speed seems to be down the last couple sessions. I had 3 days off but feel worse than after a heavy day. My SI joint has been bugging me as well. I kept the weight light so I didn't get a huge workout but I progressively added weight. At the end of my session I felt a lot better. I hope this continues.
